Global Grant Donation
Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club presented Mark Broses from the Chippewa Valley Rotary Club with a $3000 check. The Chippewa Valley Rotary Club was recently approved for their 2nd Global Grant. They are collaborating with the Rotary Tunari Club of Cochabamba Bolivia and Auga Tuya to build a new wastewater treatment plant. Mark is pictured with Current Club President Bethany Lewis.

Not 1 but 2 Paul Harris award winners! Brent Schuler and Bryan Lavoy received the highest award in Rotary. This award is given to Rotarians who have made outstanding contributions to the community. Congrats Gentlemen!
Winter Daze Parade 2021
The Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club took place in the Winter Daze parade this year. The weather was perfect and the crowd was festive. 10 Rotarians helped build the float and walked in the parade.
Thanksgiving Boxes for Stepping Stones
The Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club teamed up with Stepping Stones to pack Thanksgiving Boxes for our community. 175 boxes were put together.

The Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club welcomed a new member this morning, Marilyn Fanetti. Marilyn is a longtime Rotarian and transferred to the Sunrise Club. Welcome Marilyn!

Rose Sale

There's a New Judge in Town!

HUGE day for Club Member Christina Mayer! She was sworn in as Judge of the Circut Court of Dunn County Branch Two. Many of the Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club members came to show their support on her big day. Congrats Christina!
Club Officer Transition

The Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club installed new officers this evening! President Jeremy Untz past the gavel to Bethany Lewis. And Bob Rosendahl was installed as the next President Elect.

Rotary Feeds Packaging
May 21st, 2021
Following CDC guidelines, 3 Rotary Clubs came together for a Rotary Feeds Packaging! The Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club, the Rotary Club of Menomonie and the Chippewa Valley After Hours Club packaged 41 boxes for a total of 8856 meals! These meals will go to Stepping Stones to help the people of Dunn County.
Paul Harris Award

Paul Harris Award Winner!!! The Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club had the privilege to honor one of its members at the weekly meeting. President Elect Bethany Lewis presents Christina Mayer with her 8th Paul Harris Award.
Chris stated “I give to Rotary because individual Rotary clubs help local communities. Additionally, if we can eliminate polio through Polio Plus, that will change our entire world for the better. Rotary also supports water projects which change the lives of people in communities less fortunate than ours. I also give to Rotary because, as a service organization, the funds go to the work of the charity rather than administration.”

Stepping Stones Donation

Jeremy Untz, President of the Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club presents the Rotary International Citation to Court Sand, 2019-2020 Club President. This is major accomplishment for the Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club which was led by Margaret Breisch. Very few clubs receive this citation. Congratulations Sunrise Rotarians!

Rotary Feeds Packaging
October 10, 2010
After 8 months, Rotary Feeds is able to package again! They figured out how to safely social distance in order to package meals. These meals will be split between Stepping Stones and Honduras.
Rotary Fest Quilt Winner
Our Rotary Fest committee decided to have the 2020 Quilt Drawing in August of 2020 as many of our great donors had already purchased over $950 in tickets for it. The winner was "Donna Hedlund" of Boyceville. Thank you for all of your support for the local food pantries. The funds collected are being distributed to Stepping Stones and West Cap Food Pantry in Boyceville. Congratulations to Donna!
Food Bank Support
On Friday, May 22nd, Josh Gibson and several other Chippewa Valley Rotarians assisted the Feed My People staff in Eau Claire. This was a "pop-up" food bank held near Carson Park. Josh's effort, along with the other volunteers resulted in 211 families being supported with
boxes of food during this time of covid-19.
Thanks Josh; you are a great example for Rotary!
Community For Vets
Work continues on our Community for Vets project to add an additional bedroom. This past Monday
found Gus Myran painting the exterior siding before installation. Electrical work is completed and
this project should be completed in about 10 days. That's good because the house manager already
has a veteran wanting to rent the completed room. Thanks Gus!
Stepping Stones Donation
President-elect Jeremy Untz presented a check for $2,000 from our club foundation to Katherine Dutton,
the director of Stepping Stones. That organization is seeing a huge increase in the number of city and county residents needing access to lower priced food. Katherine was most pleased to receive the check and assured us that it will go a long way to help many in our community. Thanks, Jeremy.
Wine and Roses Donation
Josh Bergmann, owner of Season's Harvest presents a check for $814 to Katherine Dutton, Director of Stepping Stones of Dunn County. Josh hosted a "Wine & Roses" tasting/shopping event on May 16th to support Stepping Stone's effort in our community. Pictured with them

Community For Veterans
This morning, the Menomonie Sunrise Rotary Club presented Earl Wildenburg and the staff of Community for Veterans Home with a check for $10,000. Helping present the check are Assistant District Governor Mike Kloss, District Governor-nominee Karen Herbert, Past President Mike Shaide and Millie Hauge. Community for Veterans Home was the recipient of Rotary Fest 2019.
The Community for Veterans Home provides Veterans, recovering and incarcerated people who are transitioning back into the community from a controlled and/or traumatic situation. They will have the opportunity to live in a sober environment with other men and women in recovery and work a personal transition plan of their choosing as they transition back into the community.
